Enhancing opportunities for youth.
Creating a better community for all.

Hudson Daybreak Rotary is committed to investing in the next generation. Through scholarships, leadership camps, cultural exchange, and community involvement, we support and celebrate young people as they grow into global citizens and future leaders. Here’s how we put that commitment into action:

Hudson Daybreak Interact Club

Our Rotary-sponsored Interact Club at Hudson High School empowers students to serve their community, build leadership skills, and make lasting connections. Through student-led service projects, mentorship from Rotary members, and opportunities to attend conferences, Interact helps develop compassionate, capable young leaders.

Honoring Students of the Month

Each month, we honor two outstanding Hudson High School students as part of our Student of the Month program.

Nominated by faculty, these students are recognized for their academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, leadership, and positive impact on their peers and school community.

Annual Scholarships & Honors Breakfast

Each spring, we award four $2,000 scholarships to HHS seniors:
  • Two for outstanding Community Service
  • Two for Global Awareness
Scholarships are presented at our Annual Honors Breakfast, hosted by Hudson Daybreak Rotary in celebration of all Honors Students at Hudson High School.

Rotary Youth Exchange

We proudly sponsor Rotary Youth Exchange students each year, helping local teens experience life and learning abroad. Through long-term (academic year) and short-term (summer) programs, students gain independence, cultural understanding, and a broader perspective of the world. Our Club partners with North Star Youth Exchange and more information about the opportunities are available on their website/

In addition to sending students abroad, we also host international students in Hudson each year. These students live with three local families over the course of the school year. Hosting is an enriching experience—families often develop lifelong bonds with their visiting student and gain a new extended family member across the globe.

Supporting Local Youth Spaces

Beyond the classroom, our club supports safe and enriching environments for youth in our community. This includes ongoing financial support for the Rotary Teen Center and Skate Park in partnership with the Hudson YMCA.

These spaces promote physical activity, connection, and belonging for young people in Hudson.

Sponsoring Students for Camp RYLA

Each spring, Hudson Daybreak Rotary sponsors local high school students to attend Camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards).

This powerful leadership development camp gives students hands-on experiences to grow their confidence, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. It's a pivotal opportunity for students to connect with peers and discover their potential.

Sponsoring Students for Camp Enterprise

In the fall, our Club partners with HHS to sponsor students to attend Camp Enterprise, a Rotary-sponsored, three-day immersion in business fundamentals. Students explore topics such as marketing, budgeting, and leadership from real-world professionals while collaborating with peers on business case challenges. The camp is often a first step toward future academic and career interests.

Rotary Halloween Parade

The Rotary Halloween Parade is Hudson’s longest-running community event—and a local favorite! Co-hosted with the Hudson Noon Rotary Club, the parade invites kids of all ages to dress up and join the fun downtown. Prizes are awarded for best costumes in several age groups.

The event is paired with the Hilltop Pumpkin Party at YMCA DayCroix, sponsored by the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce, featuring games, activities, and plenty of treats. It’s one of Hudson Daybreak Rotary’s favorite ways to celebrate and support our community’s youth.
