The State of Volunteerism

Every organization depends on volunteers to further its mission, whether it is as a board member, an envelope stuffer, or something in between. Today’s presentation will share a bit about the state of volunteerism today as we consider the differing needs of different generations and leave you with concrete ideas to take back to any nonprofit organization you are part of (whether you are a volunteer, staff, or donor) to strengthen your volunteer pool.

Elaine Delavy (dell-ah-vee) is a consultant focused on improving the marketing, strategic planning, and fundraising efforts of nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin areas. Elaine has worked on capital campaigns and/or feasibility studies for The Saint Paul Area Council of Churches, the Victoria Theater Arts Center, the Washington County Historical Society, Lyric Arts, Lumen Christi Catholic Community, and Christ Church Lutheran.
