Our Service Above Self (SAS) project is underway! Below are and current scores.
If you have a project that could use the hands of many/beyond your team - please create a Google doc to share with all - send to Tessa Boury and a link will be placed in our Bulletin; if it's short notice - send to Ruth Petermann for quick distribution to all members!
Look at this awesome crew from Joyce Hall's SAS card-making last Friday.

Virtual Autumn Gala
We are preparing for our Autumn Gala on November 6 at 6:00 pm supporting infant and maternal health at Hudson Hospital & Clinic. Our virtual gala will include a four-course meal and wine pairing plus a silent auction with (in my wholly biased opinion) loads of great items. Learn more and register here.
Promise Kept Therapeutic Riding Center
Promise Kept Therapeutic Riding Center in picturesque Baldwin WI is spearheaded by Cheri Morton, our fellow Rotarian. Promise Kept offers hippotherapy for children every Saturday from 12:30-1:00pm and volunteering is easy. You can be a side walker, or lead a gentle horse. You do not need a lot of experience and entire families are welcome to come and volunteer. 6-10 volunteers are needed weekly. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Cheri Morton at cheri.morton1@hotmail.com. www.promisekepttherapy.org
Camp St. Croix Gardens
Please sign up to help in the St. Croix Camp Garden. Ahem, a perfect service project! Volunteers need garden gloves, their favorite tools (only if you'd like to bring them), a water bottle, comfortable shoes and clothes, and a mask. Learn more and sign up here.

Please feel free to send information about your connection to these organizations that your fellow Rotarians might find helpful. GET INVOLVED
Strike Out Polio
Our STRIKE OUT POLIO campaign has started off strong in the first week of October, and you can help us keep up the momentum! October 24th is World Polio Day, where the Rotary world leads a celebration of our progress towards eradicating polio. And, slightly less important (especially with the way the Twins played) but still important to us…it’s the baseball playoffs!
Polio eradication is Rotary’s most significant priority, and we aren’t going to stop until we get the job done. We’ve made great strides too…in 1988, there were over 350,000 cases of polio in 125 endemic countries (where the spread of the wild polio virus had never been stopped). As of September 30th, there have been 102 cases this year in two endemic countries…Pakistan and Afghanistan!
It’s easy to give to PolioPlus: You can give a check (made payable to The Rotary Foundation with “PolioPlus” in the memo line) to your Club President or Foundation Chair, or you can make a payment online at www.myrotary.org/give.
One note: you do need a My Rotary account to give through Rotary Direct, so CLICK HERE for easy set-up instructions.
Note donors who give $100 or over $365 will be recognized and rewarded.
