Please join us for a presentation on LIFT (Listen, Inquire, Facilitate, and Transform). LIFT is a District initiative aimed at creating a sustainable model for economic development in developing countries, with work focused on Nicaragua.
We have a great opportunity coming up for 4 host families in July to house 2 short-term exchange students! See below for details; if interested, please contact Roy.
Hosting requirements:
Nights of July 19 and 20 (Sunday and Monday)
Four girls | four boys (2 same sex campers per host home)
Can share a bedroom but not beds
Adults in host homes will need to have background checks
Schedule for the two days:
Campers arrive July 19 at 8:30 p.m. at the Park and Ride across from Target (they will have had dinner)
Drop off at 9 a.m. on July 20 at same location for a day at Mall of America
Back at Hudson Park and Ride by 5 p.m. - Dinner with host families
Drop off and farewell at the same location at 6:30 a.m. on July 21
LAST CALL: Rotary Friendship Exchange
The Rotary Friendship Exchange for 2026-27 is now set. District 5960 will exchange with District 4640 in southern Brazil. This district covers the southern portion of the State of Paraná. Information on this district can be found here. The team will visit many interesting places, including Iguassu Falls.
The team of 12 people will be in District 4640 from September 6 to September 15. An application form, available here, is due by June 30.
THIS WEEK: Rotarians & Family Walk in Booster Days Parade
Making Rotary more visible in Hudson is one of our top Visioning goals, and this is one of the most fun ways to do it. We'll have Rotary stickers to hand out, banners and signs to carry celebrating 75 years of Rotary in Hudson, and a crowd ready to see what we're all about.
We line up at 10 am, the parade starts at 11 am, and goes through downtown Hudson. Partners, spouses, kids, and grandkids can join the Rotary fun; the more the merrier. Our group will definitely communicate fellowship and FUN!

Riverfest | July 22 - 25
Celebrate the St. Croix River all week long with the St. Croix RiverFest! Help keep our river clean by participating in the river clean-up; enjoy family fun at the St. Croix Valley Community Band Concert; experience a free cultural celebration with the Native American Celebration; and more. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on how Hudson Daybreak Rotary is participating in this Party with a Purpose.
Rotary Golf Tournament
Join us for a day of fun and golf on Monday, August 3rd, at White Eagle Golf Course for the annual Rotary Golf Tournament. We are well underway with sponsorships and foursomes of golfers. CNC Pollinator Garden Watering
Thank you to everyone who helped re-establish the pollinator garden at Carpenter Nature Center! Moving forward, we need to water the gardens three times each week. Watering can be done by one Rotarian each time.
We have an opportunity in the upcoming months to deliver meals to New Richmond Grace Place. Rotarians will pick up the meal at Camp St. Croix Cafeteria at 4:30 pm and deliver to Grace Place by 5:00.
Reminder that all of our meetings are recorded! You can request a link to a specific recording by contacting John Salmi. The recordings are available for 25 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
