· Foster Goodwill and Better Friendships among members
· Build a sense of team/club pride and satisfaction
· Raise visibility of HDR in the community
· Use as membership outreach

Project Eligibility
· This will be self/group policing - as things are shared, there could be judgement?
Have fun, be creative, make an impact on one person, a few or more!

How to score/requirements
· At least two members of the same team must work on the project in order to qualify for points
· Family members and friends are welcome to participate as long as there are at least two HDR team members
· One point per volunteer hour (but non-Rotarians must be invited by a HD Rotarian)
· Bonus Point for group photo – one per event
· Bonus Ten points if every member of the team earned a point during any given month

Tracking
· Points must be reported to Team Captain weekly
· Team Captain fills in spreadsheet weekly and sends to Commissioner (Suzy Korum)
· We'll have regular (weekly, bi-weekly) updates at club meetings – maybe a project that was worked on or team standings
· Have regular team standings in the newsletter

Team Captains
· Keep your teams engaged!
· Communicate to your team members the ongoing opportunities that have been made available to the HDR as a whole.

In Our Community

Camp St. Croix Gardens
Please sign up to help in the St. Croix Camp Garden. Ahem, a perfect service project! Volunteers need garden gloves, their favorite tools (only if you'd like to bring them), a water bottle, comfortable shoes and clothes, and a mask. Learn more and sign up here

Drone Videos Wanted
John Ramstad is working on a project for Momentum West, the regional economic development group for 10 counties in Western Wisconsin. As such, John has been contracted to take drone video of a variety of things for a series of videos they're producing. He'd like to take drone video of "lifestyle" recreational activities such as canoeing, kayaking, biking, hiking, fishing, and so on.

Would any Rotarians be willing to work with John so so he can shoot some drone video while they fish, hike, kayak... You will receive get copies of the video but no financial compensation. If you'd like to help, please reach out to John at john.ramstad@yahoo.com.

Christian Community Homes
CCH is seeking donations of material to make cloth isolation gowns. They hope to receive 100 donations of four continuous yards of cotton material. Please contact Debi Mager if you are able to help! debi.mager@cchhudson.org
or 715.386.4536

CASA of Western Wisconsin
The new CASA of Western Wisconsin – St. Croix County - is looking for potential board members to serve on the steering committee and/or 501(c) (3) board. Eventually, we will need CASA volunteers also. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates and they are trained volunteers appointed by a judge to advocate for a child who is in the child welfare system. In 2019, more than 7,000 Wisconsin children were eligible for a CASA. Only 1,000 children were served because 60 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties do not have a CASA program. Thanks to St. Croix County, that is now down to 59. For further information please contact Tim Heckmann at timothy.heckmann@wicourts.gov.

YMCA in Hudson, WI
Each day (M-F) from now until September 4th YMCA will be providing free lunches and ready to heat meals at the Hudson branch starting at noon.  Chris Kost is looking for volunteers to pick up these meals daily at the Woodbury Y at 10:10am and then also volunteers who would be willing to hand out the meals at the YMCA in Hudson M-F from 12-2.  Please sign up to help here

An Apology

I'm so sorry I missed the bulletin last week! I was on stay-cation and between no internet and a fried laptop there was no hope to compile and send the bulletin.  - Tessa
