Our August social is a paddle on Little Falls Lake at Willow River State Park. You and your families are invited! Paddle or just hang out at the boat launch at our beautiful park with your HDR friends.
When: Wednesday, August 26, starting at 4:30 PM
Where: The boat launch on Little Falls Lake, inside Willow River State Park, 1034 County Highway A, Hudson
Where: The boat launch on Little Falls Lake, inside Willow River State Park, 1034 County Highway A, Hudson
Details: Come when you can. Folks will be arriving over the first half hour, and we'll help each other get in the water, so there is no need to be right on the dot. Little Falls Lake has a new ADA-accessible launch that makes getting in and out easy, and you can launch without even getting your feet wet.
Snacks: Grab-and-go items you can take out on the water with you, plus a few things on shore for anyone who would rather sit and visit.
Are you bringing a canoe or kayak to share? Several Rotarians are bringing their own canoe or kayak, and a few have room for more. If you have a spare you can haul or a seat to offer, tell us how many you are bringing. This way we can get everyone who wants to go on the water.
Do you need a ride? Willow River State Park has an entrance fee; if you don't have a pass and don't want to buy a daily pass, Mitch Bliven is running a carpool from the Town of Hudson town hall, 980 County Road A. He will take the first group in at 4:15. If you plan to carpool from the town hall, please arrive no later than 4:45. Text Mitch at 651-337-9127 to let him know you are coming.
