Halloween Celebration

Participate in Hudson’s longest running community event now celebrating its 67th year! Hosted by Hudson Daybreak Rotary and Hudson Rotary Noon Club, this historic event has been modified into two ways to celebrate this spooky season. Virtual Costume Contest 

  • Cash prizes for each age group - Best of Show - $150
  • Cash Prizes for the Top 5 "Best Costumes" in 5 Age Groups 
    • 1st: $25 • 2nd: $20 • 3rd: $15 • 4th: $10 • 5th: $5
    • Age Groups: 4 and Under • 5 - 7 yrs. old • 8 - 10 yrs. old • 11 yrs. old and up
    • Best Group or Family: 1st: $45 • 2nd: $30

Virtual Halloween Costume Contest 2020

I.  NAME OF SPONSOR(S):  Hudson Daybreak Rotary Club and Hudson Rotary Club (hereinafter, collectively referred to as “Sponsor”).

II.  ELIGIBILITY:  Entrants must be residents in Hudson School District, Wisconsin.

Limit one (1) entry per person during the Entry Period (i.e., an entrant may not submit multiple Costumes). Multiple Entries in excess of this limitation may result in disqualification of all entries by such person. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate, illegal or offensive, or otherwise not considered to be a valid entry, and entrant will not be eligible to win a prize. Entrants can enter in an individual age category and the group category. 

 

III.  HOW AND WHEN TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  

Submissions for the Contest begin on October 20, 2020 and ends on October 31, 2020 at 11 PM.

To enter, entrants must visit the Hudson Daybreak Rotary official website (www.hudsondaynreakrotary.org) click on the Contest-themed link or banner, and follow the online instructions to upload his/her Costume photos (as further described below), and then complete the entry form with following information: first name, last name, city, state, zip code, mobile telephone number, email address and age (for children under 18 to determine age category). 

PHOTOS: Each entrant must upload at least one  photos of his/her Costume. Exact compositions of the Photos are at the entrant’s discretion, but the objective is to feature/showcase the Costume for Sponsor in its entirety.  Costumes must not contain or depict objectionable content, as determined by Sponsor’s sole discretion. 

Each entrant represents and warrants the following:

  • You confirm that you took the Photos submitted by you and are its copyright owner; or that you are the copyright owner’s authorized agent; or that you own, purchased or otherwise legally obtained the rights to the Photos. In addition, you confirm that you have all of the necessary rights and permissions to grant us this license for its use.
  • You give Hudson Rotary Club and Hudson Daybreak Rotary Club permission to reproduce, use and edit the Photos on all platforms, in all media (now known or hereafter developed), including, without limitation online and social media, for any purpose.
  • You understand that you will receive no payment or royalty for any use under this agreement; that Sponsor is under no obligation to use, edit or distribute the material; and that you have no right to inspect or approve any use of the material. Sponsor accepts no responsibility for ensuring the receipt or successful submission of any entry or entry materials. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. 

 

IV.  HOW AND WHEN WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED AND NOTIFIED  

Winners will be chosen by a panel of Rotarian judges. The winner of the Grand Prize will also be selected by a panel of Rotarian judges, as determined by Sponsor. The winners will be notified via emails and will be posted online by noon on November 2, 2020. Final determination of winners is the sole discretion of Sponsor,

V. RELEASES

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor/judges, which shall be final in all respects. By participating in this contest and accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release Hudson Rotary Club and Hudson Daybreak Rotary Club and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize.

Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence in promotional material, in perpetuity, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above-mentioned materials, but may do so and may edit such materials, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, without further obligation.
