One of the longest-running community events in Hudson returned to Camp DayCroix – the Rotary Halloween Parade.
In its 72nd year, the annual Rotary Halloween Parade featured costumed families marching through the field near RCU Discovery Center. The Hudson Chamber of Commerce hosted the Hilltop Pumpkin Party in tandem, and it's done so since 2022. The two events make for a day of festivities on the north side of camp — a horse & buggy, petting zoo, food truck, games — for kids and parents in the buildup to Halloween.
Shortly after the parade, Tyler Warwick-Mick, who is part of both the Chamber of Commerce and Hudson Daybreak Rotary, announced the winners of this year's costume contest. Kerry Reis, the president of Daybreak Rotary and also a county board member, handed out the prizes.
